Welcome to PetrAnnettes Vintage Barn Café, a delightful gem nestled in the scenic landscape of West Pleck Farm, where charm and authenticity abound. This quaint café is not just a spot to grab a bite; it’s an experience that envelops you from the moment you step inside. With its rustic aesthetic and inviting atmosphere, it’s the perfect retreat for those seeking a unique dining experience.

PetrAnnettes specializes in delectable homemade delights that tickle your taste buds and warm your heart. Picture sipping on a Pot of Tea or a warming Coffee, paired gracefully with a freshly baked Scone slathered in butter, jam, and cream. The menu reflects a careful blend of classic comfort and innovative offerings, like the hearty Chicken & Mushroom Pie with a side of crisp salad, or the remarkably satisfying Lasagne—both options promising to leave you craving more. And for dessert? You simply must indulge in their homemade ice cream and an array of cakes that are a testament to Petra’s passion for confectionery craftsmanship.

The atmosphere here is nothing short of magical. With a whimsical outdoor seating area where you can bask in the sun while overlooking rolling fields, it’s a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. On those rainy days, the covered seating ensures your experience remains enjoyable. Visitors rave about the café’s surrounding garden, filled with eclectic vintage quilts, charming antiques, and an overall higgledy-piggledy aesthetic that makes you feel at home.

Don’t just take our word for it—real patrons can’t say enough good things! One enthusiastic visitor, Jonathan Drori, describes it as “literally in my top 10 places in the whole of England,” commending the soulful vibe created by the wonderful Petra and her team. As Richard Malin noted, each visit feels like a treat, offering “fabulous homemade cake and homemade ice cream,” making it a must-visit each time he’s in the area. And when Calum Best advises you to “just go,” you know he’s onto something extraordinary!

Whether you're looking to relax with a book, enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea, or chat with friends amidst antique treasures, PetrAnnettes Vintage Barn Café embodies a wonderful blend of calm, character, and culinary delight. Make this charming spot a stop on your next journey—an experience that is truly soul-nourishing awaits.

This is, literally, in my top 10 places in the whole of England. It's the combination of the wonderful Petra, her delicious food and spectacular home-made cakes, the glorious higgledy-piggledy garden and gorgeous views (or covered area if it's raining), the cards and crafts, the vintage quilts and antiques next door... But more than anything, the place is suffused with soul, and love. I find myself a happier person whenever we swing by. If Starbuck's is your thing, then PetrAnnette's cafe may not be for you, but if you revel in the one-off, the independent, the joyful and the dappled, then, like me, you will be in heaven. Petra, you are The Best. x Jon

Fabulous cafe in beautiful surroundings. Homemade cake and homemade ice-cream. We’ve visited 3 times during our holiday because it’s so good. Such a treat to sit outside in the peaceful and calm outside area overlooking the fields, magical.

I can't really put into words just how wonderful this place is. Google reviews needs a sixth star. Stop reading this review and just go.

A little piece of Dorset heaven. The atmosphere of rural charm, the diversion of the vintage shop and the great food, cakes and tea make this one of my favourite spots.

Fabulous cakes (not just the usual) including a gooseberry cake with meringue, all genuinely homemade: unique atmosphere: incredible welcome from Petr on a typical English summer day… pouring with rain! But outside ( on a different day) charming setting and great views plus wildlife pond. Not too mention beautiful hand made quilts for sale… very tempting on a chill June afternoon !
